Still Life Painting
And last but not least we have Sarah's final Still life paintings for class. She is very very impressed with the progress she made with these and is happy with how they came out. Although she still struggled in places, gouache is starting to be less of a hassle for her. Hurrah for improvemnt! The staff here at the Blog would like to say how proud we are of Sarah for all the hard work she's done over the semester and we can't wait to be back in the New Year! Happy Holidays everyone!

Demo Reel
Sarah figured she'd let us show you her Demo Reel since she doesn't plan to post it anywhere else. She was hoping to make a nice walk cycle for her title block but didn't finish it in time so she hopes to get that done before the break! Also, guess who makes a guest appearance at the end of the video! How nice of her to include us!

Layout Pan
"Finally," says Sarah, once she finished her last assignment for layout. She hopes her teacher likes it since he doesn't seem to like her photoshop work she decided to show him what she could do in Sai. She really enjoyed this project over all though and feels like she learnt a lot of new things with it!

Ball And Tail Rabbit and Squirell
E.H. Sheppard Character Design
Texture Paitings
Sarah portrayed a great increase in her gouache skills with this texture assignment. She is very impressed with the clover and orange but was sadly disappointed with how the mushroom and fur came out. She is starting to enjoy gouache and hopes to keep improving with it and to take some of those skills over to digital painting!

Character Expressions
A character Sarah based off of her painting teacher. The first assignment Sarah did not get 100% on in character design sadly but she completely understands why. She had trouble keeping the characters structure consistent and understands that it is something she needs to work on. Lets work hard to cheer her one folks!

Bones Portfolio
Well hello there everyone! We are back from our long journey of following Sarah this crazy semester! And to start off our updated entries we have here Sarah's Bone portfolio! The thing that caused so much stress and anguish for other students. Sarah was able to finish it a week in advance and it allowed her to have a stress free last couple weeks of school while she worked on other assignments! Sarah hopes to get an okay mark on this but doesn't expect much. She is not worrying over the up coming bone test, lets hope these sheets will come in handy!

Layout panels
Oh no! I almost forgot to show you all Sarah's Layout story panels practicing up and down shots! Sarah was very happy about how the first and last panel turned out and hopes to receive a good grade on this one!
Ball Throw Animation
Alrighty Folks, here are my last words for today! Here is Sarah's Ball Throw animation. This assignment had her practice breaking of joints. It is reported that Sarah said she is very proud of this and that the 30 hours of work were well worth it. Sarah is very excited to start the ball and tail animation!

Royal Winter Fair
Its Amelia here again! Sharing with you some lovely pictures, drawn by Sarah, of our friends at the Royal Winter Fair! Sarah says she is not very proud of how they came out but I think they are exceptional! Next time is the Zoo which Sarah is even more nervous for but also very excited!
Character Poses
Hello cats and dogs alike. We're back from vacation! Have been for a while but things have really been picking up with Sarah so we've been busy chasing her tail! Now here is a lovely character design Sarah did for her class. She was very happy with the poses and was told that she was almost picked to go up on the wall but there were so many choices hers sadly didn't get picked. Sarah hoped that she will make it on the wall next semester hopefully!

Marine Animal Otter
Book Page Turn S&C Curve Practice
Here we have Sarah's waving line and book page turn. She was very happy with the book page turn result and was happy to see it running smoothly. She didn't have much more for comments on this project.
Next the Marine Animal...
Environment Paintings
Hello all! Amelia here once again, we figured we would bring you a few final updates before Sarah heads home for reading week! Here we have 3 environmental studies Sarah did in painting class studying how to create atmospheric pressure and working more on her gradient skills. Sarah seems to be most happy with her gray scale gradient painting and was a little disappointed in her monochromatic piece but over all she is proud of her achievement! Her painting teacher marks very hard however and she is not to sure if she will get much higher than a B- on these. Lets hope for the best!
Amelia signing off!
