Marine Animal Otter

And here we have the Marine Animal. Sarah Chose to do an Otter! She was pretty happy with it at first but once she kept looking at it she became less and less so. However she is still proud of herself and hopes to keep improving on her animations.

Book Page Turn S&C Curve Practice

Here we have Sarah's waving line and book page turn. She was very happy with the book page turn result and was happy to see it running smoothly. She didn't have much more for comments on this project.

Environment Paintings

Hello all! Amelia here once again, we figured we would bring you a few final updates before Sarah heads home for reading week! Here we have 3 environmental studies Sarah did in painting class studying how to create atmospheric pressure and working more on her gradient skills. Sarah seems to be most happy with her gray scale gradient painting and was a little disappointed in her monochromatic piece but over all she is proud of her achievement! Her painting teacher marks very hard however and she is not to sure if she will get much higher than a B- on these. Lets hope for the best!

Thanksgiving Update!

Hello everyone! It is just me, Colby, bringing you an update on the things I have been observing in Sarah's life as of late. Thats what I do. Its a small job, but I try my best to be as thorough as I can!

Sarah has been working very hard these past two weeks to finish all her assignments before reading week so she can spend her time back at home without having to worry about her homework. Her reading week starts this weekend and she is very excited to fly out and see her boyfriend back home for the week. Sarah has been feeling quite homesick and is missing the prairies she grew up on and her family and probably I would assume mostly her cat Marshmallow.

Sarah had a lovely Thanksgiving this weekend playing Pokemon X, having a res supper with her roommate, doing homework, and having lunch with her eldest brother and great aunt and uncle.

She admits she got a little lazy this weekend and didn't finish as much as she intended too and is hoping it doesn't come back to fight her. Sarah still much complete 1 painting, 8 character poses, a possible inbetweening assignment and possibly 3 storyboard layouts for the week after reading week. She is hoping to get the inbetweening and half of the poses done before she leaves and finish the rest over the reading week. Lets hope she gets the time and doesn't stress herself out!

Lets keep cheering her on! Goodluck to Sarah and lets hope she has a nice relaxing reading week!

Hands and Feet Portfolio

Last update for this long weekend! Here is Sarahs portfolio for Life drawing class with her hands and feet! Sarah stated that she is quite impressed with herself and is really happy with the turn out of the drawings. She is going to take her knowledge of simple rendering that she gained from this and apply it to her bones for her bone portfolio! She is hoping for an A on this project to save her from the B she currently has in the class. Heres hoping! Sarah admits that she went a little over board on the title page but she was having a lot of fun with it so she couldn't resist!

Thanks for keeping updated with us! Amelia signing off for the night!

Layout First Assignment

Here I am again! This is Sarah's first official work for her layout class. She took the opportunity to show off her digital skills and was quite happy with the turnout. Secretly this room is part of a comic she is hoping to make sometime in the coming years but it is still far in development. I can't wait to see more of this interesting idea! Sarah will be using this layout for the next couple assignments she does so hopefully it helps with her story as well!

Amilia out!

Paintings

Well I do say, I am quite sorry for falling behind on my updates! Sarah has been very busy these past couple weeks and its been tough keeping up with her! But at last I have a second to update you on her school work!

Here we have Sarah's first few assignments for painting class. The first three were in class practices practicing the gradient methods. Sarah's first out of class painting was rushed and she was not very happy with the result but she put all her effort in her second painting and did a marvelous job of it. She is starting to get the hang of painting with gouache but still struggles with blending. She hopes to perfect this technique by the end of the semester!
