Title Block

Amelia here once again! This should be my last post for today I promise! Here is Sarah's title block that she
designed for her digital tools class to be shown before all her animations! She was originally going to animate that nice young cat walking in and sitting down but she was getting frustrated with it and quit but she promises she's have something like that ready for her fourth year film! What an inspiration! She was feeling kinda down though looking at how amazing some of her friends title blocks were coming out but she didn't feel the need to put that much time into hers. Oh well. Lets hope she keeps going hard!

Amelia signing off, this time for good!

Character Turn Around

Amelia here once again! Let us all welcome Sarah's first character for her character design class! What a
scary old woman! I would never want her looking after me! Sarah's imagination sure can create some strange things... but now the less! Great work! During the observation of this project I was amazed to see how little stress she had turning this character around compared to her portfolio turnaround! Can't wait to see who she designs next!

Flipbook Assignment

Hello again everyone! Here is a quick update on Sarah's first project for her digital tools class! The project
was focused on looping and cleaning up an animation in Flipbook, not so much on the animation itself. We will bring you more updates soon!

For now this is Amelia, signing off!

September Sketch Dump!

Yes, hello there ol' chaps. I am Eldridge and I will be covering the stories related to Sarah's artwork outside her animations. Since we are a little behind with our late start on this blog we had to do a large coverage of her art over the past month. Some of the works included are from her sketchbook from the summer as well. Yes this is quite the piece I must say! I have out done myself this time. You cannot even imagine the time I put into researching and putting together this post. Sadly to say some of the pictures were to big to scan and we still have not afforeded a proper camera so I am deeply sorry for some of the terrible quality pictures.
The room interiors are from the layout class Sarah is taking in school. She has been working very hard to stay up to date on her homework and it is paying off! We will try to keep our sketch updates once a week from now on to avoid these large articles! Over all we are happy to see Sarah's progress in her first month of school. Rumor has it she is mulling over the possibility of changing her style to one a little more realistic and is hoping to improve her hands, feet and faces over all this year. Let us see how she progresses and hope for the best for her! That will be all for this late night entry.

Thank you for reading, Eldridge here saying, goodnight to you all!

Sheridan Animation Assignment 1

Hello everyone. Amelia here! We have breaking news! Sarah has finished her very first animation project for school! Four of them in fact! Our sources confirm that all the animation was done on animation paper then captured by a webcam and put together in a program called flipbook. Included in the video is her bouncing ball, bowling ball, balloon, and pendulum. That poor mouse... we here at the studio would never hurt a fly! Except for the few casualties during play but, we can't help our natural instincts! Plus humans find it quite amusing. Ahem, anyways, off topic! After looking more into the animations and studying them we can also confirm that all animations were animated on twos, the Bouncing ball was averaged around 20 drawings, the Bowling Ball 85 drawings, the Balloon 110 drawings and the Pendulum 12 drawings. During this study we have observed that Sarah has learned new in site into timing and spacing and weight for animation. We have learned that these are key for any animator!

That concludes this entry, Amelia signing off!

Meet the Authors

Welcome to the daily blog report of BlueMaroon. This page is dedicated to her life and work. We have been observing Sarah for quite some time now and have developed a keen interest in her. She is quite the human, (however we may be swayed by the way she scratches our bellies) and we wish to study her everyday life and report our findings to the world.
At this time I would like to introduce me and my co-workers from left-to-right. My name is Amelia, I am the co-journalist of this report, next to me, my dear old friend Eldridge, our head journalist. Next to him is our newest member, Colby. Despite his looks, Colby has almost as much experience in the journalist world as Eldridge.
On the left is our editors, the ones that work behind the scenes and make this blog possible. Seth is our intern, responsible for page edits and bringing smiles to the staff. Debbie is responsible for our ask column and can answer any questions you may have. Isabella is responsible for the blogs aesthetics and setting up our columns. In front of her is Lillian, she is the co-director of the blog and keeps us all motivated to keep going. She is also responsible for the bookings. Lastly is the head director. He is the one who got this whole thing started and underneath his grumpy demeanor is a sweet generous soul, just don't let him catch you saying that. Thank you all for reading and I hope you enjoy following our blog. From all of us here at the studio, welcome to our blog!
